There should be a matching update for ACT, afterwards you'll want to recheck your firewall settings. Check for updates. Latest patch seems to have broken it for me as of this afternoon. I’m sure the plugin will get updated. Anytime the game updates, ACT will need to update or you can download the beta.

I have googled myself into exhaustion. Every fix i read about isn't working for me. On ACT it says its working. it says "log active". I go to plugins>FFXIV settings, under parse settings it's set to network and when i hit test connection it says successful, its connected and everything is hunky-dory.
