From what I've heard IG is still relatively new to the American market, but they sound very promising with their low spreads and high amount of trust globally. I don't have a ton of experience with Oanda, but do hear mostly good things. I opened an IG US account when opened shop in the US, and have since moved my deposits over to them.

There’s also the library of community tools for you to use. TradingView works on mobile. You can post and read other’s trade ideas. You can chart comparisons to instruments not related to currencies. TradingView actually gets updated where Oanda does not. Anyone who has tried it wouldn’t be asking this question.

It entirely depends upon your trading strategy and preferences. Oanda provides good execution and doesn't require any minimum deposit for personal accounts while FXCM lays down a minimum deposit requirement of $50. All withdrawals are also processed by Oanda within 1 day while FXCM takes 3-4 working days. Both are solid.
I have both oanda and forex.com ( account was transferred when FXCM stopped operating in the u.s). Oanda has way better spreads and their MetaTrader servers have 4pm daily close.
