This is accentuated if the van is parked on an incline like a driveway. The jerkiness occurs more when closing and a couple times have stopped and reversed.If the power sliding doors are closed, the system will reset itself automatically once the battery has been reconnected. Doors can stick due to worn out rear/mid rollers. They can pop and stick due to the unlatching actuator (Honda calls it a power release actuator.) Sounds like you may be experiencing one of the most common problems with the Odyssey- faulty micro switches in the door latch module. . If so, the solution is a new door latch. Let's see what others here have to say before you proceed. I had a similar problem along with the doors jumping when they opened and closed.
