My 2018 Outback also had a minor bumper tap on the left side. Body shop fixed it in 5 days. When I got it back the Rear Assist Braking (RAB) kept disabling. Back and forth between Body Shop and Subaru dealer for 3 weeks. Finally got the RAB fixed. Now the BSD keeps disabling. Called the Body Shop and brought back to the dealership yesterday.
The other issue is on occasion when we put the Forester in reverse, the light on the info screen for the rear braking doesn't come on, and the dash actually says "RAB Disabled". It doesn't go away until the car is driven for a bit or turned off. Putting it back into park the into reverse again, etc doesn't fix it. The dealer claims it had no codes.
