I have the opportunity to purchase a G38 (prior G37 owner)and am wondering if G19 and G23 slides (have good deal on these too) will fit and function on the G38 frame. Of course I would use caliber correct mags. Right now, in my neck of the woods, 9mm and 40S&W is easier to come by than 45 GAP. What you're wanting doesn't even make sense. If you want a Glock 34 or Glock 17 buy a Glock 17 frame. Otherwise, you'll have that gap like CM shoot went to the trouble of demonstrating for you. On a side note, if anyone is looking for a Glock 19 long slide Brownells makes an aftermarket 17 length slide that goes on the Glock 19 frame.You cannot have a 19L with a 17 frame if you want a true 19L (if there is such a thing). Also with buying the 19 and adding the 19L slide and barrel, you can sell the OEM 19 slide and barrel. In the end, everything is OEM except the 19L slide.
