Jul 28, 2022 · Steel vs aluminum, I just have the C2s, and use them for carry and training. They have just slightly more muzzle flip than the steel Staccato P. If this is a carry gun, I would vote for Aluminum. If for range and training, I would choose the Staccato P steel frame. The DLC coating on the barrel is more cosmetic. For me I got a DLC barrel and love it. The less wear isn’t the only benefit. It’s smoother all around which makes a difference with these tight tolerances. I never resell, so value there doesn't help, and grip in handling those without don't seem a problem at all.

If it helps, MPA takes a $600 deposit and the balance is due when the gun is ready to ship in 12-14 weeks. Personally imo the XC is a far better 2011 than the DS9 MPA. Currently saving for a ds9, the humble marksman and Vance sold me on it. The name staccato is starting to get old lol.
