I was looking at the pathfinder 2e ranger, and really liked the look of the outwit branch. Instead of an archer or a weapon dervish, really focus in on being a knowledgeable nature guide who knows their enemies and how to deal with them, probably taking a lot of the nature guide and monster hunter feats.

There are no real tank builds. A tanks focus more than anything is not being critically hit (because you are absolutely going up be hit) and offer some kind of reason for the enemy to not just ignore you. Ranger gives hunt target (range), hunter's aim +2 circ bonus (effectively Master profiency at the cost of an action), and free Snares. Rogue gave me Poison Weapon-free d4 poison, and easier application for things like contact. The free d4 is just nice extra damage of a different type.

Basically adding a focus by building around the Rogue Dedication made it feel awesome, and lots of Ranger feats have great synergy with Sneak Attack especially. If Paizo doesn't have a Slayer archetype in mind already, it has huge potential to come about down the line.
