Msi has a feature on their Dragon Center app that restricts the battery from going to 100 full charge, same with Lenovo too. I can't say for sure about Hp Omen Command Center, but you should keep your laptop plugged in to ensure enough power draw for your Gpu especially when you're working with gpu demanding softwares.

HP Omen Optimizer is terrible. Rant. It made my computer worse in every imaginable way how do I nuke it from my computer.
