Kawasaki prairie 650 top speed.
hey everyone, my prairie 650 keeps overheating. I can ride it for about 5 miles until the temp light starts flashing. I pulled the water pump and its working fine. impeller looks very clean. I sprayed the rad out with simple green using my pest sprayer gun and then proceeded to spray it thoroughly with my hose.
Ok guys I have an 02 Kawasaki prairie 650, when the atv motor is not to hot but cool everything works on the dash but when the motor get hot the speed won't show me how fast I'm going and plus it won't let me engage it so when I cut it off and let the motor cool off some it will work agian it's annoying I don't know what it is, could it be the speed sensorTop speed is very subjective and a poor comparison between machines. I bought my wife a 04 prairie 360, it's got around 3000kms and close to 450 hours. Great shape. Last run we had her speedo stopped working, the hour meter and backlight still works so it can't be an electrical issue with the head unit. I understand the 4wd works off of the speed sensor. The problem is intermittent.

I have 2002 prairie 650 with 3200 miles on it. Over the last 6 months i have found i don't have as much power as i use to have. I have been riding it today and the top speed i can get is only 46 mph. A year ago i could get 57 to 58 mph. any ideas on what is going on.
