Have a black max mercury 150 xr2 s/n 0b129429 on a 1987 skeeter starfire 150 bass boat. Recently purchased boat and gauge says motor is running hot if you run it above 4500 rpm. Any 2.0, 2.4, or 2.5 V6 LU with the right length driveshaft will bolt up. Newer is better, of course, and if you replace a 4 inch lower with a 4.5, you'll need a different prop.
