Since last Friday (2023-02-03), I have been having problems with my Verizon Fios CR1000A router. The 2.4Ghz wifi band just stops working, all the devices get disconnected and the router stops emitting in that frequency. The 5Ghz band keeps working just fine though. Note: in the picture the 2.4 band appears as Disconnected, despite being enabled. Our Verizon CR1000A router is on the first floor and my home office is on the second floor, probably 40 feet from the router in a straight line. I don't have separate SSIDs set up for 2.4 vs 5 Ghz bands currently, so when I'm up in the office my laptop defaults to the 2.4 Ghz band, which ends up being punishingly slow. Like, 1-3 Mbps up/down slow. Since replacing my CR1000A with the CR1000B (HW ver 103, running Firmware 3.1.1.18), I've now gone 11 day(s) 12 hours 10 minutes 36 seconds without the issue showing up! I'm not saying it's solved by this combination of Hardware & Firmware just yet, but... The bad thing about using the CR1000a units as Acess Points is that you need to use a LAN port for the uplink. And the CR1000a only has one 10GbE LAN port. The other two LAN ports are only 2.5GbE. I wish the CR1000a was like a typical router. And had an Access Point option in the settings.
