Carb adjustment advice for rookie Dear /chainsaw, I’ve just upgraded from a Greenworks 80v to an Echo 620p, and am a relative rookie to chainsaws, felling, and especially small engines. I’m trying to learn about tuning the carb. I’m far from the point of modding, and probably not ready to remove limiters till I’ve learned much more.

At 800 feet I had to back the high screw out about a full turn from stock adjustment for actually cutting in wood without without getting the saw to start getting hot and racing at idle.
