All other gauges read ok. No check engine light and truck starts and shuts down as normal. Any help would be appreciated.

There is a air intake heater used on the 7.3L California version. It is located between the inter-cooler and the intake manifold. It is controlled by a relay next to the fuel filter. To some folks not familiar with the CA emission system, they think it is the glow plug relay. Controlled and monitored by the PCM.

I pulled both the solenoid relays off and found the back one not connecting across the poles when excited. So I took it apart and found it burnt across the contacts.Pulled the power lead from the heater and reset power loop with ~12V showing for the circuit to the heater without heater in the loop.
