Another thing to note is if the valve timing is that far off or the chain has skipped teeth, you could possibly have a bent valve that is hanging up. Id be doing a serious inspection of all the cam timing components. It sounds like it might just be time for a rebuild. Keeep us posted. 1st there is 2 circuits inside the ECU that control the fuel pump relay. 1 is during the boot up (turn on for 2 seconds to build up initial fuel pressure and ECU gets to see if the pump is electricaly working) 2nd circuit is when the part the controls the fuel pump relay to "stay on" while the motor is running.BTW this Suzuki is a LT-F4WDX King Quad, year is 1996. I just purchased this wheeler for cheap. When I got it home it started hard, and when I did get it started it would rev very high in neutral after warming up for a minute also it would do this in gear. It would rev back down when put back into neutral.The Suzuki machines were flawless maintenance wise. Never a mechanical issue. Easier to clean. Fit and finish better. Considerably lighter weight than the 850. Plenty of power but more vibration with the big single versus the Polaris twin. Ride is harsher due to the springs and lighter weight. The 2024 ATVs are out and I was just looking at the websites for Yamaha and Suzuki. The Grizzly and King Quad have come a long way, probably two of my favorite quads over the years.
