BY THE WAY @Community, drying wood doesn’t produce tar, like the journey step says. It produces dry wood and RESIN. If you haven’t corrected it already in the next patch, you might want to consider it. I really love what they did with the journey steps, though. Solution: you are not having the pet/thrall use the food, you are using it for yourself but from their inventory so the food item must be something the player character can eat/consume. The journey steps seem to be bugged for a lot of people and definitely some mods seem to interfere with them registering.
