I don’t get what you’re on about… The harvest rate with 20 Expertise is exactly the same as it used to be with 50 enc / 30 surv. And yes resource nodes have a limited amount of resources so you deplete them faster… with 20 expertise iron takes 3 hits instead of 5 for example, but you get double the stuff.
Leveling and Gear. At the earlier levels you should go for light armor and leveling grit to 5, then Vitality and then Strength all to 5. At around level 15 you should switch to Medium Armor. Then start increasing Grit to 10 and choose the Endurance Perk. ETA: Have a go box with okay armor. Not the legendary stuff. Epic sets. Go right back into the fight and don't cry over whatever you lose- thats easily replaceable. Always have food in your wheel and eat while you fight- this gives you the sated buff and you heal faster. You need the agility, grit, and fast healer perk to fight now.
DoT effects seem to be balanced more towards PvP combat since they interfere with healing items (which only players and thralls will use). there is no fire arows , only explosive one and with bleding efect on exiled lands. The actual "poison arrows" are gas-cloud arrows, which work very well imho.
