The i-Ready Diagnostic is an adaptive assessment that adjust its questions for each student. As a student answers correctly, the questions get more difficult. As a student answers incorrectly, the questions get easier. This adaptability allows the i-Ready Diagnostic to identify the strengths and opportunities for growth of each student.These norms are new for the 2020–2021 school year and are based on data from the 2018–2019 school year. As is common for national norms, it is expected that these norms will remain in use for a number of school years, although Curriculum Associates will continue to monitor the norms each year to determine when new norms are needed.
