The problem that i'm going to guess is, since you barricaded from the inside you can't properly click the planks. Try to right click different place on the plank or barricade it once on the outside and try to remove it from the inside to see if it removes the inside plank first. 2.The only ways I know of are matches, lighters, and sturdy stick + notched plank.
