This gun is hilariously powerful. Fires so fast and with enough damage that enemies on the other side shouldn't be an issue. And if they are, just stay in the middle and rush them when they get too close. You can get a lot farther than the 168 blocks (84 each way) if you want. Mine was something like 110 each way. There's a min and a max, and the max is pretty far.
