Duramax ticking noise.

Engine ticking on new 2024 sierra hd duramax. Picked this truck up Monday. About 180 miles so far and noticed this ticking coming from the engine. I’ve never owned a diesel truck so not sure if this is normal… but I didn’t notice it the first few days… any ideas? That’s the “type writer tick”. The ticking noise could be that you are snesative to the ticking noise that Duramax engines make, some more than others. The valve lash seems to be a noise maker. I hear ticking in my engine, but I believe I'm pretty sensitive to it. A little bit less noisy with 15W-40 oil vs 5w-40. But the erratic idling is something that you should address.
