Fold 3 screen protector peeling.
So my z fold screen protector started peeling on the top really fast 4 days ago, and now its around half of the screen. I already ordered a new one from aliexpress (no local store offers replacement). It will arive in around 2 weeks. I bought this phone used a week ago, with slightly peeled screen protector, but now its growing like 5mm a day.
A couple weeks ago the inner screen protector started to peel and samsung told me to send it in and they would replace it for free since it was still under warranty. Well I sent in my fold 4 only for them to then tell me they don't have the parts and they cant repair it. They then tell me they will be exchanging it with a new device. Mine started lifting up on the fold and Samsung sent a home repair van round. He said it would need a complete new inner screen as you can't remove the protector without the screen cracking. I posted this a few days ago, showing that my Fold 3's inside screen protector was starting to the infamous delamination down the center.Well, sure enough, by the end of that day, it has pretty much spread all the way down to almost the bottom. I promptly went on Samsung website, checked my warranty to make sure it was still good (March 2023), and created a repair request.

There are options @marcjones182. The factory fitted screen protector can be removed but do this carefully as removing it and causing damage will void the warranty. It's not meant to be removed. Some prefer then to use no screen protector. YES YES and YES. You CAN and SHOULD remove the old peeling screen protector. No harm will happened to your phone screen if you remove it, but if you leave it and some sand grains or dust will catch between the screen and protector, you will have scratches for sure. For me, the peel began due to having the phone in dual-screen mode, and the heat caused the adhesive to separate at the crease. Ripped it off, no scratches, and since the phone is closed most of the time, it's fairly well protected. I've had my fold 3 since shortly after release. In my personal opinion, the peel is totally fine. I'd probably peel it off and install a replacement protector. I've use replacement screen protectors on my Flip 5G, 3, Fold 2 and 3 and it has been great. They do tend to peel more quickly than the factory one, but I got a bunch for like $1 each. 1.
Read a couple threads on the Fold 4 and you should not apply a screen protector over the OEM Samsung protector. Just use the original one. You get a free replacement within one year, and any extra is 19.99. Do not put additional protector on the inside screen. I would advise against a protector applied to the hinge.
