Yes you will get valve float with stock springs that will limit rpm but you will still be getting higher rpms on the gear then it was built for. Better safe then sorry. A zip tie around the governor spring is an easy way to see what more rpms will feel like. Ideally, you remove the governor gear.

The stock carburetors on a predator 212 or Honda GX160 or any other smaller engines are designed for the stock engine which has a governor to limit the rpm to around 3600. If you remove the governor or make other adjustments to increase rpm then you will need to get a Mikuni or a Mikuni clone carburetor to get more power out of the engine.
