Well if it's your AC that causing you to overheat then to me that means your cooling system is marginal and the increase in heat load from the AC is overloading it. So far after recording every drive from all different speeds and types I found that on flat road my Jeep is running an average of 220-224 degrees. Your not overheating until you get over 250 degrees, that is when the vehicle will go into limp mode. In fact the thermostat does not fully open until around 225 degrees. I had replaced my thermostat probably 2 months ago after some overheating issues. It has been fine and then all of a sudden it started overheating again at highway speeds.
