Recently I've got a bug to pick up a new 9mm Beretta and build a kind of modern interpretation of an Elite (which I've always wanted). I plan to send the new pistol to AGW for a match Elite length barrel, Elite hammer, trigger job, D Spring, G conversion, checkering, etc. I am considering using either a new 92A1 or M9A1 as the base.Search this page. $8900. 92a1 come in batches still from Italy. They are still being produced. M9A1 is only made for the California roster now and has a California serial number and 10 round mags only. M9A1 is still sold in California at least. I know because I have 3 more days in my 10 day waiting period. The M9A1 remains the largest and most complex service pistol issued to any major military force and will undoubtedly serve the troops well, with added capabilities for night shooting and clearing buildings in urban combat scenarios. Another thing to consider, the 92A1 is built on the 90two frame and will not fit other 92, M9A1 or vertec holsters. The M9A3 will fit all M9A1 and vertec holsters. This is what I was going to post. There are fewer options for holsters on the 92A1. Not a big deal for me since I make my own.
