My older Sears/Poulan chainsaw was unhappy; hard to start and would not idle. The local saw shop suggested that the carb had been damaged by the 10% ethanol fuel that CA now requires. They wanted $60 for a new one. This OEM carb was much cheaper and is an exact fit. After getting that right, I reinstalled the carb and got it to fire. A little time setting the carb (having to take the cover off and on, off and on), but it is idling nice, and tach'd at 9600 rpm.
