I've yet to hear of any real "problems" other than tank leaks on a few SP1 bikes which Honda will warranty... With a stock size rear tire, (190/50-17) your chain should remain the same length as stock. See how you like that. If you want deeper gearing, say a 41 or 42, then it's an easy rear sprocket swap, and your stock length chain should still fit. I can almost guarantee it.
