Abstract. Superabsorbent polymers (SAPs) are cross-linked polymers with several unique characteristics that can be exploited for a number of applications in concrete technology. Indeed, recent years have seen a growing interest in the use of SAP to improve the performance and long-term durability of concrete structures.Superabsorbent polymer (SAP) efficiency in water absorption and release depends on soil properties and SAP type and concentration.
