It is mathematically much harder to build Tricaru for early players if they try to slam Det runes (especially more than 1 set per dog). Guard runes are by far the easiest method to get the stats. You really are convincing me to use regular runes on my tricaru lol. I got couple of decent determination runes after having farmed for them but i need the extra push for my second and third icaru. I haven't seen a single flat defense gem for determination rune to helpSTRENGTHS/WEAKNESSES. Verde just needs 100% CR and enough HP to stay alive. As your runes improve, you can upgrade Verd to more of a damage dealer - but for your first team, it's not required. Maxing slot 3 and grinding any hp% or def% subs that happen to be on the set could allow Verde to survive a hit. If you're looking for consistency over speed, having -damage ...I only farmer Necro for better Rage runes. I don't even equip the best rage runes on Verd. My first run was 1:20 minute. Then when I fully skilled up Tricaru (Using other Tricaru not Devilmon). And choose better Artifacts like Skill 1 Accuracy, Dmg when attacking together. My runs became better. Try to improve ur Tricaru runes if possible.

You're supposed to use it to get the best and most versatile rune that will be useable till end game. Balegyr only needs 58% cr, verde can be run triple blade if needed for tricaru.

Compared to the guard rune, guard rune only benefits to the holder and it’s just 15%.The rune requirements are steep. Especially for people who havent or cant even build the dot team yet. You need a really strong set of icaru as well as powerful runes for belial and lushen. The dot team is really f2p friendly and generally easier to build. It even works without Lushen. It's good but the ceiling for tricaru runes are so spicy I'm not sure. For reference you can have ATK or CD as a main stat alongside 9x fight runes.
